While health and safety have always been our top priorities, these new protocols further elevate our standards of quality and cleanliness, enabling you to vacation at Akrogiali Exclusive Hotel with the ultimate peace of mind.
We have been closely monitoring the updates from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Greek Ministry of Health, and the Greek Ministry of Tourism, as well as the Greek government’s guidelines regarding the protection from the covid-19.
We follow all the rules and we are in compliance with the official hygiene & safety protocols issued by the Greek Authorities.
Please take a few moments and read carefully the below measures and instructions:
Surface Areas and Public Spaces
In public spaces, the company has added to its already rigorous cleaning protocols, requiring that surfaces are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants and that this cleaning is done with increased frequency.
These new enhanced cleaning technologies including sprayers to sanitize surfaces throughout the hotel.
Hand disinfectants can be found in all common areas.
Food Safety
At Akrogiali Exclusive Hotel, food handlers are trained on safe food preparation and service practices. The cooperating food and beverage companies of our hotel are obliged to comply with the food safety standards.
We follow the HACCP principles, in every step of any procedure.
Our staff is properly trained and follow the safety protocols in delivery processes.
Food and beverage
Hand sanitizer is available at restaurant entrances, on bar tops and throughout the establishments. Bar snacks are presented in individual portions. Menu options are presented on boards or tablet QR codes and the use of physical menus is limited to those who request them. Tablecloths are changed after every use. After use, cutlery is cleaned, disinfected, and placed in a cover preventing contact with outside surfaces. Breadbaskets are no longer used with food being presented in individual portions.
Room service uses covered food dishes to ensure hygiene from the kitchen to the guest room, and all room service waiters wear gloves and masks for delivery.
Rooms
Use of disinfecting products and health protocols to clean rooms, with a particular focus on high-touch items.
Decorative fabrics, hotel folders and similar stuff have been removed from our rooms for safety reasons.
Room cleaning service will be provided upon request, as well as the change of linen and towels, according to safety protocols, in order to eliminate contact as much as possible, for your and your company’s safety. We advise our guests to inform us how often or when they wish us to arrange their room cleaned.
For extra hygiene, the TV and air conditioning remote control, the comfort set and the glasses are included in a special cover package.
Check in procedures
At the lobby entrance, all arrivals are offered alcohol-based hand sanitizer and, within the lobby area, cleaning with high-grade disinfectants occurs every hour.
According to the new regulations, the check-in time is altered to 15:00 pm and the check-out to 11:00 am, so each room will be cleaned, disinfected and aired properly.
Upon check-in, the receptionist cleans the work desk with a disinfection formula between guests and before each check-in procedure.
Guest Contact
To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, our hotel will be using signage in its lobbies to remind guests to maintain social distancing protocols. The company has add partitions at front desk to provide an extra level of precaution for its guests and associates.
Health & Safety protocols for our staff
Our staff has been trained – according to their duties – in COVID 19 protection and prevention, appropriate use of Personal protective equipment, and implementation of emergency action plans.
Daily screening – staff will undergo in daily temperature measurement (no record is kept for personal data protection purpose).
Equipment required for suppliers – all suppliers accessing the hotel must follow the required safety measures.
Record of staff members and guests
For the purpose of public health protection, we keep a record of staff members and all guests staying at the Hotel including their name, nationality, date of arrival and departure, contact details (address, telephone, e-mail), to enable contact tracing of any close contacts of COVID-19 cases, which may be subsequently identified. The hotel, also, records and updates an event log book COVID-19 (reception — desk).
All guests and staff are informed that these records are kept for the protection of public health, with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) and national law 4624/2019.
Please note that:
It is your responsibility to report to our staff any symptoms you might have, even if they are minor. It is your responsibility to report us if you think that you have been in contact with a possibly infected person.
